The NECE Workshops 2005 focused on special topics that make up the subject matter of citizenship education, and which also have particular relevance in terms of European education policy. Scientists and practicioners from all part of Europe exchanged experiences and discussed common strategies.

The NECE Workshops focused on special topics that make up the subject matter of citizenship education, and which also have particular relevance in terms of European education policy. They aimed both to pool expert knowledge on European and national levels, and to provide impulses for education policy and projects in daily practice.

With that in mind, the workshops have introduced individual model projects from different European countries. Conclusions and results from the workshops will be incorporated in the European NECE Conference taking place in Berlin at the beginning of December, 2005. The series of workshops took place in October and November 2005 and were organised with different cooperation partners.
